C2 Education is always proud of the hard work and dedication exhibited by so many of our students, but today we’d like to highlight the care and compassion shown by two of our talented Diamond Bar (California) students, Hannah R. and Andi S.
Hannah and Andi are currently in their junior year of high school, facing heavy schoolwork loads, numerous college applications, and a host of other obligations. Despite their overwhelming workload, these impressive students have organized a community service club at the C2 Education Diamond Barlocation.
The club, a chapter of the national Kids Who Care Club, is intended for 7th and 8th grade students. Hannah and Andi intend to teach these students about the importance of community service in general and about the role that community service projects can play in the college admissions process. Participating students will help to brighten the days of children with painful chronic medical conditions by building “smile packs” containing games, heartfelt cards, and messages of hope.
Kids Who Care Club was co-founded by a young girl named Risha after she underwent a series of painful surgeries to treat pancreatitis. It is Risha’s hope that her organization will help other children cope with long, pain-filled days in bleak hospital rooms while simultaneously educating others about the plight of children suffering from debilitating conditions.
Hannah and Andi will host an informational session about their chapter of the Kids Who Care Club on October 8 at 1:30 pm at C2 Diamond Bar. If you live in the area and you would like to learn more, please RSVP atdiamond.bar@c2educate.com.
We wish Hannah and Andi the best of luck in this endeavor! May you serve as inspiration to C2 students everywhere!
